Sean Edwards is in talks with various teams to either race in the Porsche Michelin Supercup or German Carrera Cup during the 2008 season. On going negotiations are underway to secure the right seat in order to progress his career in the right direction with the aim of securing a Porsche Works drive in the future.
In an ideal world, Sean hopes to secure a two year Porsche Supercup deal with a top team and established number one driver, which will enable him to gain valuable experience in his first year and put him in good stead for the second.
Sean commented on 2008 earlier this week. “I really think that the Porsche Supercup is where I need to be for the next two years. Of course if I cannot secure a deal, then I will have to look elsewhere for 2008 at least. I think at this point in my career, its crucial to be in the right series with the right exposure and results.”
He is still open to offers from any Supercup team and still available for drives in various other series, but his main aim is to secure a drive in the Porsche Supercup.
